Are you a jigsaw puzzler? Then join us for our National Puzzle Day celebrations on Thursday January 28 2016! Teams of up to 4 people will compete against each other to get their jigsaw puzzle done first and win the prize! If you have any questions call the library at 712-732-8026. NATIONAL PUZZLE DAY, an unofficial holiday, is always celebrated in January. There are puzzle celebrations and events held at museums, libraries and other venues around the country. Crossword puzzles are the most common however, Sudoku is the most recent puzzle rage. There are puzzles that fit into the needs of every person and every skill level, for the young and the old. There are also word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, puzzle books and many many more.

Election Year Lunch Time Film Series: House of Cards Jan 18, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM
The Storm Lake Public Library is kicking off a lunch time film series on Monday, January 18th for election year! If you enjoy politically themed movies and TV shows join us one Monday a month--we will have a film playing in our conference room from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Our selection for January 18th is two episodes from the BBC political thriller "House of Cards." Adults are invited to bring their lunches and enjoy watching with others. Attendees are free to come-and-go during the showing, so if you would like to stop in for part of the time during a lunch break feel free to do so. Some light snacks will be provided.
