CommUnity Book Club--Where'd You Go Bernadette? Jan 26, 2017 from 07:00 PM to 08:00 PM
Where'd You Go Bernadette? is an award winning young adult novel by Maria Semple. Fifteen-year-old Bee's mother, Bernadette, disappears just as they were supposed to be making plans for a family trip to Antarctica. Bee begins a touchingly thorough, as well as hilarious, investigation into her mother's whereabouts. "The tightly constructed Where'd You Go Bernadette? is written in many formats---e-mails, letters, F.B.I. documents, correspondence with a psychiatrist and even an emergency-room bill......Yet these pieces are strung together so wittily that Ms. Semple's storytelling is always front and center, in sharp focus." (The New York Times) Contact the library to obtain a copy of this book and join in the discussion.
