For Children
The Storm Lake Public Library wants to be a "Young Children's Door to Learning". To accomplish this goal, the library offers several opportunities to children and the adults in their lives.
National Library Week - Out of this World, April 17, 2010, 1-3 pm
Fourth annual children's program for all ages with games, stories, crafts, snacks and door prizes. Sponosored by Beta Beta Sorority, Friends of the Storm Lake Publc Library, Witter Gallery, Buena Vista University School of Education, and Storm Lake High School International Club.
Book Babies (babies and toddlers under age 3)
- second Saturday morning of the month at 10:30 a.m.
Preschool Story Time (ages 3 to 5) at 10:30 a.m.

- Stories, singing and instrument playing for children under twelve years old.
Homeschool Library Program (all ages) at 2:30 p.m.
- April 14 - Exploration of Pharoh and Ancient Egypt.
Noon Movies (all ages)
Early Dismissal Movie! or School's Out Movie! are scheduled on a Friday at noon. Popcorn provided.
