Storm Lake Public Library during COVID-19

As of June 7th, 2021, the Storm Lake Public Library is open to the public at 50% capacity with limited hours. Social distancing is encouraged. Masks are greatly appreciated, but not required for entry.

When library materials are returned, they are disinfected and quarantined for 4 days before returning to the shelves.

Public computer patrons are encouraged to use hand sanitizer before sitting down at the computer.

The staff disinifects the library surfaces before the end of each workday.

If interested in renting the public meeting room, please call the Front Desk since we may not be able to accomodate large groups due to our 50% limited capacity.

We have adapted our home delivery procedures to keep both library staff and patrons safe. We no longer deliver to nursing homes or assisted living residences. Staff from these facilities come to the library to pick up materials for their residents or patients. The delivery dates for patrons living in their own homes are either Tuesday or Thursday: staff will be wearing a mask and social distancing.

The facilitator wears a mask at all times during the Preschool Story Time. The story time has been simplified and cut short to 30 minutes.

Stay safe!
